"Gift of a Second Chance"

What is "Gift of a Second Chance" about?

The story begins with recollection of past years of an extreme lifestyle that was filled with overtones of "sex, drugs and rock n' roll." The story quickly catches up to the present time,(1994)- the beginning of his journey. The pattern of such a lifestyle could only lead to what one might refer to as "hitting bottom." A physical and emotional wreck- due to the overindulgence of many types of poisons, Gary finds himself  alone in his garage with twisted thoughts of suicide. All of this, combined with a marriage from hell, he tells how and why he "opted-out" of his first attempt of suicide; due to a rude awakening from his estranged wife.

He then takes the reader down many roads of trials and tribulations. As he rejected the premise of a "God" that overlooks life as a "Devine" force, he calls for God to prove Himself and to show Himself. Mentally, Gary was in a very dark and disturbing place. He blamed God for all that he had lost and all that he was suffering. The story continues further down the road to hard lessons and even harder times.

Soon the will of God and the intense power of His spirit collide with Gary's path of self-destruction. Without the complications of being personally involved in a traumatic situation or under anesthesia, Gary would be exposed to the many truths of God and many visual examples of what may, or may not be awaiting him.

A simple road trip would bring him face to face with spiritual beings that were elected; by his own self, in another time-to be his escort home. Gary had in fact come to the end of his exsistence. He would prevail in his attempt to ask God for reconciliation- for a "second chance." In an extremely "graphic" manner, God then reveales to him the creation process of our world in a "mini re-creation" point of view. God proves that He is indeed the master creator of our planet; from the Alpha to the Omega. He then showed Gary the path that he had cut for himself; by his own actions and beliefs during his time on earth. The Lord then imposed a feeling of a "predetermined disposition" on Gary, in order for him to comply with the lessons from God.

God then let Gary see and feel what an after-life journey would be like in a way that he could understand. God gave him a small taste of Heaven; and a miserable after-taste of Hell. In the end, Gary learns the power of the Holy Spirit and its elements for healing the mind and the body. He finds what an awesome force that God has left for all of us to tap into. God  truly is a forgiving Father, a giver of life, and ...a second chance!

This story is a "must-read" for all Christains of all denominations. It is  a story of hope. It will bring a new sense of compassion to a world that has lately seen a lot of sadness and devastation. It is a compelling story of a journey that only Gary can tell.
